Healing Hands 4 Paws was created for a new generation of needs in the pet community -- a desire for a higher quality of life and more active lifestyle for pets who have experienced injuries, and those who have entered their senior years.
Dr. Dexter Archer founded Healing Hands 4 Paws in 2013 after seeing the difference rehabilitation and physical therapy made in the recovery of orthopedic surgery patients. One of the most memorable cases was Casey, a two-year-old Jack Russell Terrier who had been hit by a car. She suffered multiple hip fractures, which left her unable to use her left hind leg and in constant pain.

With proper physical rehabilitation, in 4 weeks Casey became a completely new dog. With the help of our staff at Healing Hands 4 Paws, she regained her muscle strength and was back to her normal happy self again.

Has your pet recently had surgery?

This can be a scary time for everyone, but it doesn't have to be. If you’re worried about getting your beloved pet back to their normal self, we’re here to assist you every step of the way. We can help you to learn more about your pet's surgery, the proper after-care, set goals for recovery, and teach you how to help in their rehabilitation! From hydrotherapy to advanced ultrasound techniques, we have many options to address your animal’s unique condition.

Are you the parent of a senior or disabled pet?

Our pets are part of our families. It can be difficult to see them having a tough time getting around the home, having less energy than they used to, or just “acting older.” At Healing Hands 4 Paws, we can help improve your pets quality of life with everything from electromagnetic field and laser therapies to neuromuscular stimulation, all while empowering you to be a part of that process!

Is your pet being kept from enjoying the great outdoors and sports by an injury?

Are you frustrated dealing with a pet’s repetitive injury or condition? We can help return your furry friend to maximum function as quickly as possible with rehabilitation remedies such as adjustments to the spine and joints, manual therapy for muscles and tendons, and splinting and assistive therapies. We can also instruct you in the appropriate fitness and conditioning exercises to perform at home!
